in particular i really liked when adar enters (2003), something about slowing down the voices and overlaying it on images was wonderfully eerie, and truly captured that stranger in a strange land feeling.

i wish there was some way for me to talk about music, but, as i know very little at this point, i can only say what i like and what i don't like with very little explanation of why. at this point, i think i have nothing to say about how it is actually played either. so, at this point, a list of what i have seen that i've liked will have to do.

as a former subscriber of the celebrity series, this is one i would have picked.
i also would like to say that i think i've od'd on chopin. hopefully in about 10 years or so, i will be able to hear chopin and not think of ballet class and plies and rond de jambes.

i always leave bill t shows feeling kind of the same way--happy that i was there, curious about what i saw, but ultimately unsatifisied. i'm left with holes that i didn't have before. the piece i liked the most was the gift/no god logic, choreographed by zane. of course i can't tell you much about any of the pieces. the movement seems to flow out and past. i could tell you the story of reading, mercy and the artificial nigger, but that wouldn't really be the point. there are images scattered through out all of the pieces that i wish i could hold onto in my head, but as they flow in, pause (sigh), flow out, onto the next one, there is no chance.

i don't know what it is, but everyone time i see the words portland, maine it makes me really happy.
